Trump Declares Biden “autopen” Documents Invalid
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump asserted that “Any and all Documents, Proclamations, Executive Orders, Memorandums, or Contracts, signed by Order of the now infamous and unauthorized ‘AUTOPEN,’ within the Administration of Joseph R. Biden Jr., are hereby null, void, and of no further force or effect.”
His statement effectively claims that all such materials carry no legitimacy or authority.
Trump also emphasized that people who obtained presidential pardons, commutations, or other legal paperwork bearing an autopen-generated signature should treat those documents as invalid.
He wrote, “Anyone receiving ‘Pardons,’ ‘Commutations,’ or any other Legal Document so signed, please be advised that said Document has been fully and completely terminated, and is of no Legal effect.”
An autopen, a long-established tool capable of duplicating a person’s signature accurately, has been employed for many years by presidents from both political parties.
