Trump Unveils New Benefit for Military Families
Although the address was not formally presented as a year-end message, the nationally televised speech functioned as an almost 20-minute recap of the opening year of Trump’s second term.
He covered a broad range of issues, asserted that his administration has delivered results, and pledged continued "progress" for the American public. Throughout the address, he also launched repeated attacks on his predecessor, Joe Biden.
Speaking from the White House, Trump emphasized the challenges he claims to have inherited upon returning to office. "I inherited a mess, and I'm fixing it. When I took office, inflation was the worst in 48 years, and some would say in the history of our country, which caused prices to be higher than ever before," Trump said in remarks broadcast from the White House.
The president again placed strong emphasis on criticizing Biden, particularly holding him responsible for what Trump characterized as an immigrant "invasion" at the southern border.
Elaborating on this point, Trump accused the previous administration of mismanaging immigration and its economic consequences. "This is the worst thing that frankly, in my opinion, the worst thing that the Biden administration did to our country is the invasion at the border.

In addition to reviewing his record, Trump announced a new initiative designed to support military households.
He revealed a one-time payment he termed the "Warrior Fividend," totaling $1,776 for families of US service members. The amount references the year the nation was founded, and Trump stated that the funds would be drawn from revenues generated by tariffs.
